SFSU	College of Extended Learning Multimedia Studies Program

Avatars 97 will be held at the Multimedia Studies Program of the College of Extended Learning at San Francisco State University. Their location is at 425 Market Street at Market and Fremont in downtown San Francisco, California USA.

The Multimedia Studies Center can be reached easily by public transportation: BART - Embarcadero Station; Muni Metro lines F, J,K,L,M,N, and by many of the downtown bus lines including the 2,6,7,9, 21,31, 38,42, 66, and 71. AC Transit serves the Transbay Terminal, one block south of the Downtown Center at Mission and Fremont Streets. Golden Gate Transit from Marin County stops directly across from the Downtown Center, on Fremont Street.

Parking lots are available along Fremont Street between Folsom and Howard. It is a three block walk to the MSP building at the corner of Market and Fremont.

Avatars 97 opening keynote the special NTT New Media Minds Forum presented by the New Media Institute on virtual communities/worlds will be held on October 22 at the Yerba Buena Gardens Theater, at the corner of Third and Mission streets in San Francisco California. Several simultaneious parties and events will be held inside Avatar Cyberspace, throughout San Francisco and internationally.
