What are the Avvy Awards about?

Originality of Concept and Design, Expression and Effort, Technical Execution, and Advancements.

These are the key components to the Avvys. It's not just about an Avatar looking good, it has to perform its function well and the design should be technically ‘well executed’. More weight is given to those Avatars that are totally original and crafted by the authors.

This page was designed by VR Avatars and the Avvy Awards '99 judges as a THANK YOU to all the developers listed who help support the VR industry with their continued efforts in Avatar creation.

Entries were received in:
RWX (Activeworlds), VRML+ (blaxxun), VRML-Based, and VRML-Based VNet formats. The formats/entrants are listed in no particular order. The bottom of the page lists those entries that were received but could not be judged, due to technical problems (noted).
